Gary Williams: Foundation Treasurer
Gary Williams began his 44-year-banking career at Security Bank, after moving to California from Iowa.
Throughout his banking career, he was periodically based in Lompoc, starting in 1962. During his banking tenure, he worked at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Los Angeles, Goleta and was at one time in charge of 37 banking offices in the tri-counties.
When Security Bank was sold to Union Bank in 1992, Gary stayed on until his retirement in 2001.
Gary has served on the Executive Committee of the Lompoc Hospital Foundation since its inception in 1990. He spent two years as Development and Finance chairman and for 24 years has been Treasurer.
He also serves as treasurer and past president on the Board of Directors for Coastal Business Finance, a non-profit organization administrating the SBA 504 loan program to small businesses.
He is a past president of the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Rotary Club of Lompoc. He and his wife Judy have four sons, three stepsons, eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
