Leah moved to Lompoc with her husband Don in 1962 when both were hired as teachers with the Lompoc Unified School District. Leah taught elementary school and later physical education at Lompoc and Cabrillo high schools. She earned a Master’s Degree and worked as a counselor at Cabrillo until her retirement in 1999.

She has been involved with the Foundation since her retirement and has served for years as Secretary of the Executive Board.

She says she enjoys the many enthusiastic people she has met and is pleased to support the hospital’s endeavors.

She was previously a volunteer with the past Red Cross program at LVMC. Leah has also served on the board of the Village Hills Youth Basketball Program and for 20 years was the scholarship chairwoman for Cabrillo High School.
