A Hole in One for the Foundation

Golfers, sponsors, donors and auction bidders helped the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation raise $71,600 at the 27th annual Flower Valley Golf Classic.

Hitting the links were 112 golfers at the Mission Club in Vandenberg Village, trying for a variety of prizes and bragging rights.

First Place for gross score went to the Lompoc Cardiovascular Center team of Neil Imano, Keith Imano, Rick Chavez and Andrew Jones, while First Place net score was won by David Arneson, Dustin Arneson, Dylan Arneson and David Scott, representing Team More Office Solutions.

The Aegis team of Eric Bernal, Chris Wolf, Joe Orsua and Manual Jacquez won Second Place in net scoring; and Third Place net was won by Michael McGinnis, Brian Hunt, Armando Zambrano and Jim Hopper with Team Hunt.

The prize of Closest to the Pin on Hole No. 2 was won by Brian Haworth, while Jack Beguhl won Closest to the Hole No. 7. Derek Larson was the winner on Hole No. 13 and Ernie Toscano earned the win on Hole No. 17. Chris White had the longest drive of the day while Josh Keller earned kudos for the straightest drive.

The proceeds from the Flower Valley Golf Classic will be used toward the ongoing effort to renovate and upgrade resident rooms at Comprehensive Care Center.
