One day every spring for that more than a quarter-century, the Flower Valley Golf Classic has been a Friday gathering place for supporters of the foundation’s mission. This year, their generosity brought in a whopping $65,0000.
More than 300 people ran, walked, and strolled at the Colorthon 5K at the Mission Club on Oct. 30, raising almost $24,000 for the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation. Participants were sprayed with plumes of dyed cornstarch during the event, creating multi-hued faces and shirts as they traveled the picturesque course.
